I’ve just put up a portfolio on Arts Thread. Have a look and see how I tout myself like the cinematic and photographic hustler that I am.

 – Why She Swallows Bullets and Stones - from "Aurora"
[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

Saw these guys at the Norwich Arts Centre last night. Best show I’ve been to in quite a while. They do interesting things with light tables.

I also have a list of good Parisian restaurants for whilst I’m there in August courtesy of their support act, Eric Chenaux (who was really good too).

We’re moving away from the working title of The Hypnotist and calling it Catharsis now, but the trailer’s up!

This is going to be printed out six feet wide. Then it’s going to be put in a very expensive frame.
If everything goes to plan it should look quite impressive.

I’ve was just having a quick look through my portfolio and came across these shots from last year.

It’s been a while since I did any gig photography. I wouldn’t mind doing some again soon. It’s a very different way of working to the kind of thing I’ve been doing lately.

This is the result of my 48hr endurance drawing session spent under a tripod in my room. I’ve always wanted to make a stop motion video of a drawing, and although the laborious process has left me reeling (thats definitely probably a pun perhaps…), I like the results. Might do another, maybe save that for after my degree tho… I’ll put the resulting image up later this eve, but for now hope ya enjoy my first foray into animation.

Here’s the finished time-lapse that I was helping Rupert out with. Looks pretty good, but you can definitely tell when the flash batteries started to die.

It didn’t quite fit in with the series, but I really like this one.

Today I’m helping Rupert Smissen make a time lapse video of the creation of one of his amazing drawings. This is a photo of what he’s going to be doing for the next 8 hours.
I should have the video finished sometime this week, so expect an update with the results soon.

Updated my Tumblr layout. Time to celebrate with a self portrait (well, almost: I made someone else push the shutter button) from this VS shoot. This one was a metering shot taken on the digital.

Stayed up late scanning in negatives and playing with portraits for the VS degree catalogue. Here’s a rough edit of my favourite so far: Ben.
I’ve been using a Mamiya RB67 for this project. It’s been nice having the excuse to use it for some proper studio work.

I’ve been playing around with colour correction on some of my favourite shots from the beach shoot. Starting to get some good results.
